Accessibility statement

Bayito wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to plan and manage a move independently and with dignity. We work to align the site and the app with Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998 and its Accessibility Adjustments for Service regulations, 5773-2013, and with the Israeli standard SI 5568 (based on WCAG, level AA).

What we have done

• Text size: in the app, under Account & security → Accessibility, text can be enlarged (up to 200%) and screens reflow.
• High contrast: a mode with stronger contrast between text and background, in addition to light and dark.
• Reduced motion: animations and celebrations (confetti) can be switched off, and the app and the site respect the operating system's "reduce motion" setting.
• Screen readers: buttons, fields and icons have an accessible name and role (button, checkbox, link), dialogs open as modal windows, and headings and the page language are set.
• Keyboard: on the site and the web app you can navigate with Tab, Enter and Escape, with a visible focus ring and a "skip to content" link (on the landing page and in the app). Every screen of the web app gets a clear browser title, and the page language and direction are set.
• Large touch targets: buttons and tap areas are at least 44 pixels.
• Not by colour alone: statuses and actions use an icon and text as well as colour.
• Less typing, fewer mistakes: dates and choices are picked from lists (day, month, year) rather than typed, and forms have visible labels and clear error messages.
• Hebrew and English: correct direction (right-to-left and left-to-right) and the language of each part is marked.

Known limitations

• The document editor (wide tables in particular) is hard to navigate with a screen reader and keyboard alone; we are working on it.
• PDF files created by the app are not tagged for full accessibility. For an accessible version, ask for the document content as text or a spreadsheet.
• Store and partner sites that the app links to are outside our control.
• Documents and pictures uploaded by users stay as uploaded, without alternative text.
• The month calendar shows coloured dots next to text and a list, but its keyboard and screen-reader navigation is still being checked.
